MESSAGE FROM THE COMMANDER

 Hello Legionnaires,

I hope everyone has beaten the heat and is doing great now that it’s finally cooling down outside. We had an IRS Audit in September and everything checked out alright.  We learned a lot about what we need to be doing and what we are already doing good.  Overall, everything turned out “OK”.

Our Pool Tournaments have been a big success so I am going to try to keep them going.  So, chalk your sticks and come out to show off your pool playing skills.

I hope to see everyone out at Pioneer Day in town Oct. 1st.  The Legionnaires will be riding  in the Parade Color Guard and we’ll be selling Foot Long Corn Dogs throughout the day.  So come on out and enjoy a day of food, homemade arts & crafts, and fun.

This year’s Early Bird Breakfast will be held on Oct. 15th from 8:00 to 10:00 am. The early payment of your yearly dues is your ticket to a great breakfast.  Haven’t paid your dues yet?  No problem! You can still pay at the door.

Due to the hot, dry summer and low lake level the Veteran’s Fish Fry will be held at the Post this year.  Come join us in serving our veterans. Side dishes and volunteers are needed.
